Volcano Buono is a new multipurpose centre which has harmoniously settled down before slopes of natural mountains. A complex kernel is the tremendous internal court yard of the round form, diameter of 150 metres; the open theatre and the market here will take places. “This modern place for meetings, events, actions, dialogue”, — is spoken by the author of the project, Renzo Piano, — “in the best traditions of ancient Greece”.
Entertaining volcano
From distance the volcano looks quite naturally; at the nearest acquaintance the place appears the centre of rough activity. In one point the trading areas, places for entertainments, restaurants, offices are concentrated.
The centre is built in some levels differing on height (from 25 to 41m, diameter reaches 320m).
Concrete volcano
The basic material — concrete, a roof it is covered by 2,500 plants which isolate internal premises, and also help a design to merge with a local landscape.
For the roof equipment special glasses which help to lower an energy consumption level also are used, filtering a sunlight.
